Mediation Strategies and the EEOC

This presentation will give a brief overview of the laws the EEOC covers and the subsets therein. We will also discuss how a complaint becomes a charge and what dictates the direction it goes when it enters the pipeline. Further, we will discuss what to expect with recent changes including the "Digital Portal". The main discussion will center on mediation and the benefits of engaging in our mediation program.

Learning Objectives:

1. To understand which laws the EEOC enforces and how this affects you as a professional.

2. To understand the stratification of an EEOC charge and how it may apply to your organization.

3. To understand the EEOC's implementation of the "Digital Portal" and how it affects the process.

4. To understand the benefits of early mediation and how it can apply to your organization.
