This session will cover an overview of domestic violence, how to utilize trauma-informed practices to respond to and address disclosures, and explore policies, including VESSA, that support survivors in the workplace.

Meet Our Speaker:

Charity Jordan Rex has been an educator and speaker for over 20 years. She is the Prevention Program Manager for Harmony House and host of their podcast, Voices Against Violence. After a brief corporate stint in HR where 90% of her job was answering the same questions from the same employees every day, she is happy to be back in nonprofit. She served as the Chair for the Mayor’s Commission on Human Rights and is Co-Director for the Milly Sawyers Center.
