Legislative Update

Paul Satterwhite, of Spencer Fane, will provide specifics on recent employment-related developments, including pending and anticipated legislative efforts and new legislation that will likely impact employers. Paul will also cover major regulatory developments. You will not want to miss this update!

  2. To discuss anticipated employment-related state and federal legislative agendas and efforts
  3. To identify and discuss recent employment-related regulatory developments and anticipated regulatory efforts.

Presenter: Paul Satterwhite, Partner at Spencer Fane

Paul D. Satterwhite practices in the Springfield, Missouri office of Spencer Fane LLP and is the Chair of Spencer Fane’s Labor and Employment practice group. Paul regularly works with employers to interpret the constantly changing landscape of employment laws and to help manage their employment law risks. Paul has defended collective and class actions involving the FLSA and state wage and hour laws. He has handled DOL investigations of FLSA and FMLA issues for large and small employers. Paul regularly counsels clients and defends lawsuits involving a large spectrum of employment laws, including the ADA, FMLA, and ADEA. In addition to his focus on human resources counseling and risk management, Paul regularly works with employers to defend employment-related lawsuits, charges of discrimination, and unfair labor practice charges filed with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). On the traditional labor side, Paul regularly assists clients with collective bargaining and labor arbitrations.
