Assistant Director of Human Resources - City of Springfield

The City of Springfield is seeking an Assistant Director of Human Resources to serve as the principal assistant to the Human Resources Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the planning, organizing, leading, and directing activities of the Human Resources Department. This position will partner with the Director to lead and direct a diverse array of HR activities. The Assistant Director oversees HR divisions which includes the Employment and Benefits team to motivate and monitor staff in administering City policies and processes. This assignment is fast-paced and involves working within our HRIS systems, understanding, and interpreting City policies and procedures, and applying employment law. This position provides you with an opportunity to work in a strong team environment, partner closely with other HR team members and City departments, and lead HR functions that impact employees at all levels within the organization.

Assistant Director of Human Resources - Compensation and Information Management - Missouri State University

The Assistant Director of Human Resources, Compensation and Information Management administers the job classification and compensation program for the University, maintains and applies salary administration guidelines, monitors, reviews, and finalizes all job descriptions, audits job descriptions to determine classification under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and performs job analyses and job evaluations of staff positions. The Assistant Director of Human Resources, Compensation and Information Management prepares statistical and analytical reports, conducts and responds to salary surveys, prepares salary survey analyses, and oversees the personnel recordkeeping functions.
