Diversity & Inclusion - Removing the Lens

Attract. Retain. Seek diverse talent within the workforce. This kind of vision can only be accomplished through the removing of the normal lenses of life, we as managers, acquire as we navigate our personal/professional journey.  Removing the lens begins with the removing of barriers, identification of blocks that prevent HR managers from obtaining their D&I vision, setting aside assumptions, and more. This discussion will take the listener through the journey of a vision, a passion, and the results when we (someone) remove the lens and are ready to shift the mindset.

 

Learning Objectives:

1.  Reinforce the organization’s core values through the examination of internal behavioral expectations.

2.  Provide coaching to managers /leaders regarding effectively managing talent needs based on the individual.

3.  Developing, evaluating, and managing talent, development, career paths, and placement of HIPO employees within the D&I aspect.

4.  Promoting a positive organizational culture through effective awareness of D&I implementation barriers.

5.  Motivational concepts, ideas, and applications of all employees.

 

Presenter: Dr. Gregory B. Stinyard

Dr. Gregory B. Stinyard is an experienced Human Resources strategic business partner. He has proven experience in developing strategies, policies, processes, and protocols to evaluate and direct complex systems that foster innovative approaches on a system-wide basis. Dr. Stinyard retired from the Army after serving 20 years. He deployed twice in support of Iraq Freedom (2005/2007). Dr. Stinyard’s is an intuitive leader with extensive experience implementing best practices, ensuring customer satisfaction, and encouragement of staff growth and contribution. He is an expert communicator and team builder with outstanding capacity for managing multidisciplinary teams in performance of daily and special assignments. Dr. Stinyard holds a PhD of Organizational Leadership (2013), Master of Human Resource Management (2008), Masters of Business Administration (2007), and is a Certified Professional Executive Coach through iPEC (Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching)(2017).
